All Lysie did was steal the handsome Argon's jewels - twice. She hadn't bargained on being trapped on his ship.
Marten had her now, a Felys female with tortoiseshell hair, a purr to curl a man's toes ...and coming dangerously into heat.
The cyborg just wants to kill her.

EXCERPT

Another jump, and she saw the stars in the distance and black, empty space. Standing facing the door, she stared blankly at it. All right, we're in space. But we haven't been up for long. Have we? When did we come up? I don't remember feeling us leave the planet.
"I told you, you're not going anywhere."
Her heart thudding a little, Lysie turned around slowly to see the Argon leaning with one shoulder against the wall near her. His grey eyes held the light of anger tamped down with perverse amusement at her plight.
"You have to take me back." She licked her suddenly dry lips.
"No."
"Then drop me off at the nearest planet."
"Ah--no."
"You can't keep me up here. It's not..."
"Mmmm?" One black brow arched. "Proper? Polite? Shall we try gentlemanly?"
"All of them." She smiled winningly. "I knew you'd understand."
"Oh, I understand all right." Straightening, he stalked forward and grabbed her wrist. "But here's the deal, lykitten. You stole from me, and I mean to get those things back from you." He started down the corridor, towing her behind him. "What you don't have, I'll take out of your hide."
"You call that a deal? What's my side of it?"
"You live without too much damage."
"You're not too good at making deals, are you? How about this. You let me go and I vanish from your sight. End of problem. Finito. I--"
"Will keep your mouth shut, unless it's to tell me where the necklace is." Yanking her into the dining cabin, the Argon dragged her over to the table, where he practically dumped her into one of the two chairs.
"Oh, that's gentlemanly. I thought you Argons were such a favorite with the ladies. Must be your charm that's worn out." Lysie rubbed her wrist and glared up at him. "Now look, Argon--"
"My name is Marten."
"Whatever. The fact is I don't have your brooch, so you might as well stop wasting your time and mine. I'm tired of this macho, big bully role you're playing--"
Two hands slamming down onto the table on either side of her robbed her of speech. Bracing himself on his arms, Marten leaned down until his face was level with hers. The menace on his sinfully handsome face was... dangerous. It emanated from his very body in invisible waves that she could feel.
Caught within the cage made of his arms at her sides, and his body in front of her, Lysie could only just manage a sickly grin. "Yes?"
"What's your name?" he breathed in a deadly quiet voice.
"Uh--Lysie. And may I say how I admire the way you can bend down so easily? Being so tall and everything, it's really amazing how--"
"Here's some facts for you, Lysie. You are on my craft. You are now a wanted criminal, and I've just claimed you, which I can do, as I posted the reward on you. So you belong to me now."
Her eyes widened.
"Oh yes. Didn't know that, did you? Your tongue goes faster than your brain."
"Well, that's a little insulting," she protested faintly, then swallowed as his face pushed so close to hers, they were almost nose to nose. She stared into his grey eyes, arrested by the fury burning within them. By Delcat, he was upset. She'd do best to simply humor him. "I'm sorry. Do go on."
"Your permission is something I don't need. Tell me, Lysie, what do you know of Argons?"
"You mean I can speak now?" The narrowing of his eyes made her clear her throat. "Well, um, they have a strong sexual attraction to those not of their race."
"And?"
"Oh--uh, well, they're admired by the opposite sex?"
"And?"
"They're--um--oh! I know. They're ruthless with anyone who does wrong by them. None escape unscathed who... who..." She gulped. "Uh--who..."
"Right." Marten smile wasn't pleasant. "Anything else you can remember, that we do to our enemies?"
"Uh--well, you know... um..."
"Come on, I'm sure you can put it into words. You've had plenty to say before now." His gaze slid down over her face, lingered on her lips for several seconds, then rose back up to capture her gaze. "Open those luscious lips and say it."
Luscious lips? Oh God, she was in trouble! "Okay. It's said that you--you punish them by..." Her voice trailed away as he leaned even further forward, his strong cheek barely brushing against hers.
How the hell was she supposed to think when he breathed into her ear like that?
"Go on," he said quietly. Forcefully.
"That you punish them... in a sexual way!" She burst out, then breathed a sigh of relief.
"How?"
"What?"
Pulling back a little, his lips brushed against her cheek. "How... sexually?"
"I don't know!" She snapped. "I wasn't there!"
"You soon will be."
"W-what?" She couldn't have heard him right.
Pulling back to gaze into her eyes, he stated softly, "You crossed the line by stealing twice from me, and causing me bodily harm. And we haven't even got into how you managed to get past the security system and break into my craft. It's payback time, lykitten. And I'm going to pay you back but good."
"Wait a minute! You said if I gave you your necklace, I wouldn't suffer damage!"
"Correction. I said 'too much damage'." Lifting one hand, he trailed it down her shoulder, swirled it lazily in the dip of her collarbone, dragged it down the soft rise of her breast and snuck the tip beneath the edge of her low-cut blouse. "I'm going to cause you some mind-blowing damage, Lysie. I'm going to punish you in ways you never imagined. I'm going to leave you wailing and crying for mercy, wanting me filling you. I'll show you just how ruthless an Argon can be." His gaze grew even more intense. "Ever hear of Argons driving the enemy insane with their sexual... tortures, I suppose you'd call it? It's happened, Lysie, don't doubt it. I can arouse you in ways you've never dreamed of. I can take you in so many positions, it would boggle the mind of a sane person."
Oh dear. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Lysie slid down further in the chair, looking up at that sinfully--sinful!--handsome face. Her mouth was dry, her heart beating a tattoo all its own, one she was sure it wasn't made to do.
"You really shouldn't take this so seriously," she croaked. "No harm was done. I'll give the necklace back and--"
"So you do have it. Tut-tut, that's another lie. You're just full of them, aren't you?" He leaned closer. "But I'm going to replace those lies, my lykitten. I'm going to make love to you so often and so hard, those lies will be pushed out by the force of my thrusts." He leaned even closer. "Ever sent a bed rocking across the room, lykitten? Ever had a man's body thrusting so hard into yours, that--"
"All right, that's it!" Lysie erupted out of the chair so fast, Marten had no time to jump back.
Her head collided with his chin, making his teeth snap shut. He grabbed her arm just in time to prevent them both tumbling backwards to the floor.
"You are sick, man! You are one sick puppy!" Lysie struggled to get free. "You touch me in any way with those intents, and I'll castrate you so fast, you'll be thrusting with empty air! You hear me? You're disgusting!"
He was rubbing his jaw and eyeing her thoughtfully. The fury in his eyes was banked by something else, and she didn't want to think what.
"I wonder if you'll be as hot in the bed as you are out of it?" he murmured.
"You'll never find out, Argon! I swear, if the law knew--"
"You'd be in jail, which is where you belong. Now give me the necklace."
The change of subject threw her, and she blinked at him. "Pardon?"
"The necklace." His swept her body with his knowing look. "Or shall I just look for it myself? Do a little strip-search?"
Her mouth fell open.
"I do a very thorough strip-search, you know. Not one little crease," his gaze fell to her cleavage, "Or crevice," his gaze drifted towards the junction of her thighs, "Goes unsearched."
"God above!"
"Oh, no, Lysie. It's the devil below." His smile was all predatory male. "This journey home is going to be most entertaining."
Lysie didn't waste a second longer. One hand hitched the side of her skirt up, and reaching beneath, she fumbled around and withdrew a ring. "Here--oh no. Wait." Another fumble, and this time she withdrew a chain bracelet. "Oh, for--just wait there, Argon." Tossing the bracelet onto the table with the ring, she fumbled higher into the small pouch tied to her thigh, and withdrew an emerald pin. "Nope. Ah, wait, here we go!" Triumphantly she held up Marten's necklace. "No damage done, see? All the little gems are in their little places. Now let's be friends and--what's the matter?"
The man was eyeing her in the oddest way. Dumbfounded, actually. His expression was incredulous. "What else have you got hidden under there?"
"You ought to know, you want it."
"I mean jewelry, Lysie. Who else have you fleeced of their hard-earned treasures?"
I'll be honest, I'm not big on sci-fi or futuristic romance, but I have to tell you, this is the most fun I've had reading a story of this genre that I can remember. Just take the movies The Terminator, Star Trek, Enemy Mine, mix with a little Indiana Jones, and throw in some of the best sexual tension between two characters you've ever read, and the mayhem that results is simply sheer delight.
